Self-love

Why self-love is important with ADHD

ADHD can affect your self-image. You might make mistakes more often, forget things, or feel different. Self-love helps you to be kind to yourself, to see your strengths, and to accept your challenges. It does not mean everything has to be perfect, but that you acknowledge and appreciate yourself.

Small steps to gain more self-confidence

I have a few small tips for you to build more self-confidence.

  • Write down your successes: even small victories count.

  • Do not compare: focus on your own progress, not that of others.

  • Say no when necessary: setting boundaries is a form of self-love.

  • Try new things: dare to fail, learn, and grow.

Making mistakes is allowed: this is how you learn from your own experiences

Every mistake is an opportunity to learn. Instead of punishing yourself, look at what you can do differently next time. By being compassionate towards yourself, your self-confidence grows and you will get more peace of mind. Ultimately, you learn to appreciate yourself, including your ADHD, and that makes everything easier and more fun.
